Vegetation technology in landscaping - Protection of trees, plantations and vegetation areas during construction work

Title (German)

Vegetationstechnik im Landschaftsbau - Schutz von Bäumen, Pflanzenbeständen und Vegetationsflächen bei Baumaßnahmen

Overview

This standard applies to the planning and performance of all kind of works by which a construction is build, maintained, modified or removed. It serves the purpose of protecting single trees and plantations (vegetation areas) to be preserved, for example trees, bushes/shrubs, grasses, herbs, because the ecologic, climatic, aesthetic, protective or other value of the existing plants/plantations usually cannot be achieved at all by replacement or can only be achieved after years. See "RAS-LP 4" for further suggestions and guidelines regarding protective measures for other vegetation areas and for animals. Regarding tree care works, see "ZTV Baumpflege" (ZTV Tree Care"). The committee responsible for this standard is NA 005-01-13 AA "Landschaftsbau" (Landscaping") at DIN.
