Overview
This document specifies the dimensions of the 28 mm screw finish for glass containers designated MCA 3 for pressurized or vacuum liquids for one way glass. A draft of DIN EN 16288 "Glass packaging - Screw finishes for pressure capsules - MCA finish" has already been prepared in May 2011. After the CEN Enquiry it was decided to divide this draft, that means, to prepare one part for returnable glass MCA 3 finish and one part for one way glass MCA 3 finish. The document has been prepared by Technical Committee CEN/TC 261 "Packaging", the secretariat of which is held by AFNOR (France). The responsible German standardization committee is NA 115-02-04 AA "Behältnisse aus Glas" ("Glass packaging") at the Packaging Standards Committee (NAVp) at DIN.
