Overview

Sensing devices for the detection of gaseous combustion products in gas burners and gas appliances serve for the optimization of the combustion process (for example O2 or CO control) for energy saving and the reduction of flue gas pollutants and can additionally be used for safety monitoring of the combustion process. This European Standard specifies the safety, construction and performance requirements for sensing devices for the detection of gaseous combustion products in gas burners and gas appliances and for similar use. This European Standard deals exclusively with type testing.
