Overview

This European Standard specifies the reference test methods for all gypsum binders and gypsum plasters covered by EN 13279-1. This standard differs from DIN EN 13279-2:2004-10 as follows: a) Clause 2, Normative references, revised; b) in 4.3.3.4, distinction between the mean diameter of the pat of hand-applied plaster and that of machine-applied plaster; c) 4.4.2.1 extended to include the use of other methods, for example ultrasonic methods and Vicat machines. The responsible body for German collaboration is Working Committee NA 005-09-10 AA "Gips und Gipsprodukte, SpA zu CEN/TC 241" ("Gypsum and gypsum products, national mirror committee for CEN/TC 241") at the Building and Civil Engineering Standards Committee (NABau).
