DIN ISO 5902
Alpine skis - Determination of elastic properties (ISO 5902:2013)

Title (German)

Alpinski - Bestimmung der elastischen Eigenschaften (ISO 5902:2013)

Overview

This International Standard specifies laboratory test methods to determine the elastic properties of alpine skis. Its purpose is to calculate the resistance of defined parts of the ski to bending and torsion. The test methods in this standard are intended to ensure comparability between laboratory measurement data determined and published by ski manufacturers, institutions and others. In this standard no attempt is made to relate the measurement data to the quality of the ski. The responsible committee for this standard is NA 112-03-01 AA "Ski- und Snowboardsportgeräte" ("Ski and snowboard sports equipment") at DIN.
