Overview

The standard specifies requirements for flame cleaning regarding the method, the necessary equipment and means, high-quality execution, the requirements for flame cleaning personnel and the testing and assessment of flame-cleaned surfaces. It applies to the flame cleaning method for high-quality surface preparation and/or surface treatment of steel as well as reinforced and unreinforced concrete components in all areas of construction for the subsequent application of concrete repair systems or surface protection systems, for instance. The specifications can also be applied correspondingly to systems similar to concrete, for instance mortar, screed, natural stone as well as to the visual design of surfaces.
