Overview
ATV DIN 18421 "Insulation of service installations" has been kept at the status of the April 2010 edition by the German Committee for construction contract procedures (DVA). Only the reference to the VOB/A has been updated in clause 0. It applies for - insulation and fire-protection work on industrial production and distribution plants and technical building systems, for example, on apparatus, containers, columns, tanks, steam generators, pipelines, heating systems, ventilation systems, air conditioning systems, cooling and hot water systems, - insulation work on refrigerated and air-conditioned rooms, and - fire-protection work for partitions for ceiling and wall openings.
