Overview

This International Standard specifies a method for measuring the spatial sound distribution curve(s) of a given workroom. Furthermore, a method is given for determining, from the measured data, two descriptors of the acoustical performance of a workroom. The descriptors are the excess of sound pressure level with respect to a free field, and the sound pressure level decay per distance doubling. This edition is an editorial and technical correction of the German version of EN ISO 14257:2001. ISO 14257:2001 retains its validity and remains unchanged. NA 001-02-03 AA is responsible for the preparation and testing of the German version of EN ISO 14257. It considers editorial and technical correction to be necessary.
