Overview
Modification of the test standard has become necessary as for safety reasons, alcohol is no longer permitted as pressurizing fluid. For this reason, in the future the hydrostatic pressure test is only carried out with water. This document has been prepared by Technical Committee ISO/TC 45/SC 1 "Hoses" of the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) and has been adopted by Technical Committee CEN/TC 218 "Rubber and plastics hoses and hose assemblies". The responsible national standards committee is NA 045-02-12 AA "Schläuche" ("Hoses") at the Rubber Technology Standards Committee (FAKAU).
