Overview
This standard is applicable for analysis results of the examination of water, waste water and sludge. It provides general information for correct and uniform indication of quantities and units of analysis results, taking into account measurement uncertainty. The following modifications have been made with respect to DIN 38402-1:1987-03: a) the standard has been technically and editorially revised; b) annexes including examples for calculation with values lower than the limit of determination and the example for high uncertainty contributions for values lower than the limit of determination have been included; c) examples of forms are no longer included. The standard has been prepared by Working Group NA 119-01-03-01-04 "Chemometrie" of NA 119-01-03 AA "Wasseruntersuchung" ("Water analysis"), the work of which was funded by the Länderfinanzierungsprogramm "Wasser, Boden und Abfall" (federal funding programme "Water, soil and waste").
