Overview
Safety nets according to this standard are used on ship-to-shore gangways for floating equipment of the Deutsche Marine (German Navy). They are intended to catch persons and objects. The designs and the materials to be used are specified in this standard in order to ensure interchangeability. An allocation of the nominal dimension of the safety net to be used for the nominal dimension of the ship-to-shore gangway is also given.
