DIN 21912-2
Mine plans - Open cast mining - Part 2: Reconstruction

Title (German)

Bergmännisches Risswerk - Tagebau - Teil 2: Sanierung

Overview

The remaining holes of open cast mines shall be designed so that they are not dangerous with regard to public safety. This applies in particular to embankments of open cast mines. Large geotechnical structures are built in special cases, in order to prevent liquefaction of slopes. These reconstruction measures shall be documented in mine plans. The standard contains the symbols, terms and definitions and short forms required for this purpose. In addition to extensive definitions, specifications are included for - dangerous areas, - flattened embankments, - supporting bodies and stabilized areas, - cut-off walls. The standard has been prepared by Working Group NA 008-11-01-02 AK "Tagesgegenstände, Tagebaue" ("Objects on the surface, open cast mines") of Working Committee "Mine-surveying" of FABERG.
