Overview

This product standard applies in addition to DIN EN 12566-1 "Small wastewater treatment systems for up to 50 PT - Part 1: Prefabricated septic tanks". It provides assistance for building owners, designers, manufacturers and responsible supervisory authorities. The document applies to small sewage treatment plants without wastewater aeration for mechanical pretreatment of domestic wastewater from single or multiple buildings with a wastewater inflow rate of up to 8 m3/d, which has been obtained by the separation method; this corresponds to wastewater which is obtained every day from approximately 50 people. This standard applies to the mechanical pre-treatment of domestic wastewater in small sewage treatment plants for up to 50 PT which has been obtained by the separation method according to DIN EN 12566-1 and DIN EN 12566-4. These plants are not exclusively suitable for wastewater treatment. The Committee responsible for this standard is NA 19-05-04 AA "Kleinkläranlagen" ("Small sewage treatment plants") (CEN/TC 165/WG 11) at DIN.
