Concepts, abbreviations and symbols in geodesy - Part 4: Adjustment of observations and statistics

Title (German)

Begriffe, Kurzzeichen und Formelzeichen in der Geodäsie - Teil 4: Ausgleichungsrechnung und Statistik

Overview

This standard applies to the processing, analysis and assessment of geodetic data, as far as they are of a stochastic nature. On the one hand the purpose of this standard is to harmonize geodetic terms with those of other disciplines, provided that these terms are considered generic. On the other hand however, terms commonly used in geodesy are retained where possible. This standard bases on standard works which cover the calculus of observations and mathematical statistics, in particular DIN V ENV 13005. The Committee responsible for this standard is NA 005-03-01 AA "Geodäsie" ("Geodesy") at DIN.
