The field of security and safety research has increasingly come into the focus of politics and business for several years now. The wide-ranging field of security and safety includes both the functional safety of, for example technical facilities and new technologies, as well as economic, social, legal and ecological safety, Cybersecurity, and crisis management/disaster risk management. DIN is involved in research projects on various aspects of safety and disaster risk management with the aim of mapping the state of the art and subsequently deriving standardization potentials from the research results and transferring them to standardization. DIN provides advice and support throughout the entire project with its services and networks and helps innovative concepts and products to achieve sustainable success on the security market.
