ISO/TC 258/CAG 1
Chair Advisory Group

The TC258 Chairman’s Advisory Group (CAG) is an advisory body that assists the TC Chair and Secretary in the determining the general strategy and functionality of TC258, and provides an opportunity for all P member countries to provide input to the TC leadership. These Terms of Reference set out the scope of the CAG, its specific tasks, membership and operating method.

Scope:

The CAG focuses on current and future operations, functionality of the TC, and assists the Chair and Secretary to make recommendations to the TC on strategic priorities, objectives, and work activities. The CAG acts in an advisory capacity only, and is not a decision making body.

Membership:

The CAG shall be composed of one representative from each P-member country’s mirror committee. The country’s representative is selected by the delegation of each country; according to each country’s own process. Countries should keep the TC258 Secretary informed as to whom their representative is so the TC 258 leadership can invite them to virtual meetings and solicit input as needed. If the designated country representative cannot attend that meeting, the representative may be replaced by an alternate at a meeting. The TC Chair will act as the leader of the CAG, and the TC Secretary will act as the secretary of the CAG.
