Overview

This document specifies a method to measure the ability of a protective sleeve to withstand specified severities of simulated lightning strikes. The standard 6059-505 has been prepared by the standardization organization ASD-STAN of the AeroSpace and Defence Industries Association of Europe (ASD) with the participation of German experts at DIN Standards Committee Aerospace (NL). The responsible German standardization committee is Working Committee NA 131-04-08 AA "Installationskomponenten" ("Installation components") at DIN Standards Committee Aerospace (NL).
