DIN Standards Committee Rolling Bearings and Plain Bearings
Rolling bearings - Accessories for sleeve type linear ball bearings - Part 2: Boundary dimensions, geometrical product specifications (GPS) and tolerances for series 5 (ISO 13012-2:2018)
Abstract
This document is a machine element geometry standard as defined in the geometric product specification (GPS) system presented in the matrix model of ISO 14638. The use of linear ball bearings in sleeve form can be facilitated by the selection of bearing housings, shafts, shaft brackets and shaft supports. These elements, referred to as accessories, can be helpful when using linear ball bearings in sleeve form to achieve the desired criteria for smooth, accurate, low-friction linear motion without chatter or stick-slip. This document specifies the main dimensions, other useful dimensions and the corresponding tolerances of the accessories for linear ball bearings in sleeve form according to ISO 10285, see Scope. The International Standards were drawn up by Technical Committee ISO/TC 4/SC 11 "Linear bearings", whose secretariat is held by ANSI (USA). The responsible German body is the working committee NA 118-01-11 AA "Linear rolling bearings including parts and accessories" in the DIN Standards Committee for Rolling and Plain Bearings (NAWGL).
