Packaging - Test method for determination of the peel strength of sealable packaging materials
Abstract
This document specifies the requirements for the test setup and the parameters for a reproducible and practical test method for determining the peel strength (also commonly used peel strength) of sealable packaging material combinations on strip-shaped test specimens, with which the suitability of which can be used to assess the suitability of sealable and peelable packaging materials for the production of easy-to-open packs. packs can be evaluated. Furthermore, the peel force determined on the basis of the peel force can be used as a specification parameter. This document is aimed in particular at packaging material manufacturers, packers and machine builders. A prerequisite for the application of the test method is that at least one sealing partner consists of flexible packaging material or can be easily deformed/bent.
