DIN EN 14420-8
Hose fittings with clamp units - Part 8: Symmetrical half coupling (Guillemin system); German version EN 14420-8:2013+A1:2016

Title (German)

Schlaucharmaturen mit Klemmfassungen - Teil 8: Symmetrische Kupplungen (System Guillemin); Deutsche Fassung EN 14420-8:2013+A1:2016

Overview

This European Standard is applicable for hose fittings with symmetrical half couplings (Guillemin system), with mobile locking ring, for hose assemblies with a maximum working pressure of up to 10 bar, with hose tails according to EN 14420-2 and clamp units according to EN 14420-3. Couplings in accordance with this European Standard serve as link between hoses and connections to transport liquids and solids (for instance powders, granules), except for steam and liquid gas. The standard specifies dimensions, types of connections, types of materials, marking requirements and testing requirements. The working temperature is -20 °C up to +65 °C. Amendment 1 has been included in this consolidated document, in essence a cross-reference to the permissible operating pressures and temperatures according to EN 14420-1, 4.3 has been added. Furthermore, Fig. 1 has been revised and the document adapted to the applicable design rules. This standard has been prepared by Technical Committee CEN/TC 218 "Rubber and plastics hoses and hose assemblies", the secretariat of which is held by BSI (Great Britain). Committee NA 082-00-02 AA "Schlauchkupplungen" ("Hose couplings") at DIN is responsible for this standard.
