Abstract
This standard is applicable to circular sight glass fittings with sight glasses in main power connection with maximum allowable temperature according to: - DIN 7079-1, glass-to-metal fused sight glasses up to 280 °C (depending on used metal ring between 250 °C and 300 °C); - DIN 7080, borosilicate glass up to 280 °C (if necessary, specific protection according to DIN 7080 required); - DIN 8902, soda-lime-glass up to 150 °C (if necessary, specific protection according to DIN 8902 required); and a maximum allowable pressure (PS) of 10 bar respectively 16 bar.
