Heat and moisture exchangers, and breathing system filters for respired gases - Part 2: Measurement of moisture loss (ISO/DIS 9360-2:2026); German and English version prEN ISO 9360-2:2026

Abstract

This part of ISO 9360 specifies requirements for measuring the moisture loss of heat and moisture exchangers (HMEs), including those with respiratory system filters intended for the humidification of respiratory gases and used primarily in patients with a tidal volume of 250 ml or more. This document also specifies requirements for measuring moisture loss from HMEs intended for use in tracheostomized patients with a minimum tidal volume of 250 ml. NOTE: These HMEs do not have a machine connection.
