Chemical disinfectants and antiseptics in human medicine

Publications Projects

The working committee is responsible for standardization in the field of testing chemical disinfectants and antiseptics in human medicine. This includes:

  • standards for efficacy tests of products on baktericidal, mycobactericidal, sporicidal, fungicidal and/or virucidal in different fields of human medicine, e. g. handrub, disinfection of instruments, surfaces and linen;
  • standards for basic efficacy tests of products for human medicine, veterinary field, food, industry, domestic and public institutions;
  • a standard for the preservation of test organisms;
  • the preparation and continuously updating of the guideline for the application of European Standards for chemical disinfectants and antiseptics.
