Abstract
This document describes measures for a safe use of hydrogen in industrial built constructions and gives the technical rationales and operational guidance for aspects listed below. This document will focus on industrial environments. The document will address: - enclosed spaces in industrial environments - safety in design - operational aspects - emergency response in case of incidents - limiting the effect of consequences - general requirements, e.g. - Ventilation - Containment (material, gaskets…) - Purging - Ignition source control or hazardous area classification - Isolation - Controlled depressurisation - Automatisation (detection aspects, functional safety)
