Sustainability in financial services and products
NA 177-00-08 AA develops standards for sustainable financial services and products. Its focus includes, among other things, the structured assessment of investors’ sustainability preferences, as well as the creation of transparency and the development of uniform criteria for evaluating sustainable financial services and products. National standardization in this area is closely aligned with the legal requirements of the EU Disclosure Regulation and the EU Taxonomy Regulation and puts them into practice.
The goal is to establish a uniform, practice-oriented framework for the design and evaluation of sustainable composite insurance policies—for example, in the areas of auto, property, home contents, and liability insurance. In particular, the environmental and social impacts of the insurance product and the claims settlement process are to be taken into account.
