DIN Standards Committee Building and Civil Engineering

Overview

This document applies to the structural design, calculation, dimensioning, construction, and operation of air-supported structures with a base area greater than 100 m² and a peak height of greater than 4 m. This document also applies to mobile air-supported structures intended to be repeatedly erected and dismantled for temporary use. This document also applies to the outer envelopes of membrane gas storage facilities if they are supported by the air in the space between the outer envelope and the gas storage envelope. This document does not apply to building envelopes consisting of air-cushion structures. Compliance with building physics requirements also does not constitute the subject matter of this document. This document has been prepared by Working Committee NA 005-51-08 AA "Membrantragwerke (SpA zu CEN/TC 250/WG 5)" ("Membrane building construction (national mirror committee for CEN/TC 250/WG 5)") at DIN Standards Committee Building and Civil Engineering (NABau).
