Engineering geodesy - Part 4: Deformation measurements
Ingenieurgeodäsie - Teil 4: Überwachung
Overview
This document is intended for the design, execution, evaluation, and documentation of deformation measurements. Deformation measurements of technical structures (buildings, machinery, etcetera) and natural features (embankments, landslide slopes, etcetera) are conducted in order to record their movements and deformations (Deformation, see DIN 18709-2:2020-03, 3.6.14) and to document their respective time-varying states. This document serves to standardize and ensure the quality of the documentation of deformation measurements. It also provides the technical basis for the expert interpretation of the results of deformation measurements from the perspective of engineering geodesy. Any further evaluation of these results is not the subject of this document. This document has been prepared by Working Committee NA 005-03-01 AA "Geodäsie" ("Geodesy") at DIN Standards Committee Building and Civil Engineering (NABau), Section Responsible for Geodesy and Geographic Information.
