Overview
This document has been prepared by Working Committee NA 005-09-35 AA "Angemörtelte Außenwandbekleidungen" ("Cladding for external walls fixed with mortar"). This document is applicable to external wall claddings of buildings and building components that are fixed in mortar and anchored to the supports on the structural wall. This document is applicable to brickwork with a thickness greater than or equal to 55 mm to less than 90 mm, the height of which does not exceed two full storeys plus a gable roof of 4 m height for residential buildings, or a height of 8 m for other buildings; for thicknesses greater than or equal to 90 mm, DIN EN 1996 (all parts) and DIN EN 1996/NA (all parts) apply. This document is applicable without special verification of condensation for mortared cladding for external walls on supports with a joint ratio greater than 5 %.
