DIN Standards Committee Building and Civil Engineering

Overview

This document has been prepared by Working Committee NA 005-08-05 AA "Türme, Maste und Schornsteine (SpA zu CEN/TC 250/SC 3 3/WG 14)" ("Towers, masts and chimneys (mirror committee to CEN/TC 250/SC 3 3/WG 14)" at DIN Standards Committee Building and Civil Engineering (NABau). This document constitutes the National Annex to DIN EN 1993-3-1:2010-12, Eurocode 3: Design of steel structures - Part 3-2: Chimneys. The European Standard EN 1993-3-1 provides the possibility to define a number of safety-relevant parameters on a national level. These nationally determined parameters (NDP) include alternative methods of verification and specification of individual values as well as the selection of classes from given classification systems. The corresponding text passages in the European Standard are marked by references to the possibility of national specifications. A list of these passages can be found in subsection NA 2.1. In addition, this National Annex contains non-contradictory complementary information (NCI) on the application of DIN EN 1993-3-1:2010-12. This National Annex is part of DIN EN 1993-3-2:2010-12.
