Overview

The ball drop test according to this standard is used to test the behavior of laminated glass in the event of impact by a hard impact body with a small compact mass. It is also applicable to multi-pane combinations with laminated glass. It is used for comparative testing of this type of flat glass in the construction industry for quality assurance purposes.
