Overview
This standard specifies calculation methods to determine the sound transmission in buildings for - airborne noise, - impact noise and - external noise. The verification by means of the calculation methods specified in this standard for the expected airborne and impact sound insulation and the expected sound levels from building services equipment is valid for the verification required by building regulations as proof of suitability for the requirements set out in DIN 4109-1.
