DIN Standards Committee Building and Civil Engineering

Overview

This document (DIN EN 1995-1-1/NA) has been prepared by Mirror Committee NA 005-04-01 AA or NA 005-04-01-01 AK "Holzbau - Arbeitskreis Nationaler Anhang zu DIN EN 1995-1-1" ("Timber structures - Working Committee National Annex to DIN EN 1995-1-1") at DIN, the German Institute for Standardization e. V. This document constitutes the National Annex to DIN EN 1995-1-1 "Eurocode 5: Design of timber structures - Part 1-1: General - Common rules and rules for buildings". The European Standard EN 1995-1-1 allows national safety parameters to be specified for a number of points. These nationally determined parameters (NDP) cover alternative procedures, the provision of individual values, and the selection of classes from designated classification systems. The corresponding parts of the text in the European Standard are marked by reference to the nationally determined parameters (NDP). NA 2.1, General, contains a list of these parts of the text. The nationally specified parameters are found in NA 2.2. Furthermore, this National Annex contains non-contradictory complementary information (NCI) with regards to EN 1995-1-1 which are permitted according to Guidance Paper L "Application and use of Eurocodes" of the European Commission. The numbering of the nationally specified parameters and the non-contradictory complementary information is associated with those contained in DIN EN 1995-1-1:2010-12 and is additionally marked with a prefixed "NA". This document includes the amendments from DIN EN 1995-1-1/NA/A1:2012-02. The incorporated amendments are marked with amendment marks. DIN 1052:2008-12 has been replaced by DIN EN 1995-1-1, DIN EN 1995-1-1/NA and DIN 1052-10. The following modifications have been made with respect to DIN EN 1995-1-1/NA:2010-12 (selection): a) clause NDP to 2.3.1.2(2)P and Table NA.1 have been supplemented; b) in NCI NA.3.1.6 Table NA.7 has been revised; c) in NCI to 4.2 information/normative references regarding protection against corrosion have been added; d) a clause NCI to 6.2.2 "Compression stresses at an angle to the grain" has been added; e) in NCI to 6.4.2 a new clause (NA.3) has been added; f) in NCI NA.6.8.2 the clause (NA.1) and the figure NA.7 have been modified; g) in NDP to 7.2(2) a new table with recommended limiting values for deflections has been added; h) NCI to 8.3.2 and table have been revised.
