Overview

This document applies for the determination of the water content by rapid methods. The rapid methods are applied for cohesive and non-cohesive soils, the solid particles of which are not subject to chemical modifications during the test. For agricultural water engineering and investigations regarding soil protection, see DIN ISO 11461 and DIN ISO 11465. The committee responsible for this standard is NA 005-05-03 AA "Baugrund; Laborversuche (SpA zu CEN/TC 341/WG 6)" ("Soil, laboratory tests (Mirror Committee of CEN/TC 341/WG 6)") at DIN.
