DIN Standards Committee Building and Civil Engineering

Overview

This document has been prepared by NA 025-00-25 GA "Aufsichtfarben für Verkehrszeichen und Reflexstoffe zur Verkehrssicherung" ("Surface colours for traffic signs and retroreflective sheeting materials for traffic safety purposes") of the Colour Standards Committee (FNF). This document specifies chromaticity regions for non-retroreflective, retroreflective and fluorescent retroreflective materials for traffic signs and traffic installations in all modes of transport. DIN 6171-1 does not take into account the effect of retroreflection. A further standard about chromaticity regions under light supplied by the vehicle is in preparation.
