DIN Standards Committee Building and Civil Engineering

Overview

This part of the standard applies to primarily storey-high prefabricated masonry compound units which are as wide as the room (this also includes balustrades and gable slopes) and buildings made thereof. It contains constructive comments and information for provision of verification of evidence for the individual prefabricated masonry compound units, even taking under consideration transport and assembly, and for the structure. This standard specifies the rules necessary for the design of unreinforced masonry made of wall panels which apply in addition to DIN 1053-1:1996-11. The design of unreinforced masonry made of wall panels is principally carried out in accordance with DIN 1053-100:2007-09, clauses 6 and 7. This standard specifies in that connection an alternative procedure taking into account DIN 1053-1:1996-11. The standard was supplemented by a normative Annex A.
