Sound insulation in buildings - Part 36: Data for verification of sound insulation (component catalogue) - Technical equipment
Abstract
The scope of the component catalog (DIN 4109-31 through DIN 4109-36) necessitates dividing the content into several parts of the standard. Clause 9 of DIN 4109-1 specifies requirements for the maximum permissible A-weighted sound pressure levels in adjacent rooms requiring protection, generated by building services systems and commercial operations structurally connected to the building. Clause 10 specifies requirements for the maximum permissible A-weighted sound pressure levels in rooms requiring protection within one’s own dwelling, generated by ventilation and air-conditioning systems in one’s own living area, and clause 11 specifies requirements for fittings and appliances in drinking water systems. In this document, building services systems are generally addressed in clause 6. Sanitary systems are covered in greater detail in clause 7, and ventilation and air-conditioning systems in clause 8. The classification of building services trades follows DIN 276. The computational verifications and characteristic data are determined in accordance with DIN EN 12354-5, DIN EN 15657, and DIN EN 14366-1, to the extent possible. Measurement results in accordance with DIN EN ISO 10052 are also used for this purpose. This document addresses the field of building services systems and specifies the required verifications. It contains guidelines and data for the acoustic design and installation of building services systems. This document applies only in conjunction with the framework document DIN 4109-31.
