Glass in building – Construction technique-specific requirements
Abstract
This document contains national provisions for “Design and construction of glass in building” which go beyond the national annexes DIN EN 19100/NA (all parts) (in particular type-specific requirements, structural boundary conditions, test-based and calculation-based verification methods and results) and which are to be taken into account when applying DIN EN 19100. This document applies only in conjunction with DIN EN 19100 (all parts) and DIN EN 19100/NA (all parts). This document is applicable exclusively to glazing subjected to out-of-plane loading in accordance with DIN EN 19100-2:2026 and DIN EN 19100-2:2026/NA. Unless otherwise specified, requirements for the supporting construction (glass retaining bead, substructure, fixing to the building) are not covered by this document.
