Building information modelling - Digital twins applied to the built environment - Classification and requirements for maturity levels

Abstract

This document continues the framework for the digital twins (DTw) in the built environment, based on the concepts and definitions established in EN 18162. This document provides a classification schema and defines quality and maturity levels. This document defines the stakeholders of the DTw related to different typologies of assets and defines their technical and ethical requirements. This document considers the interaction with other BIM standards. It also considers related documents covering topics such as Digital Product Passport (DPP), Geographical Information System (GIS), Internet of Things (IoT), Smart Readiness Indicator (SRI), Digital Building Permits (DBP) , Digital Building Logbooks (DBL) and data spaces. It also considers the interaction with other DTw domains such as manufacturing, urban or healthcare.
