Abstract

This document is applicable to the specification of information exchange requirements when 3D building models are used together with surveying and geodata. The partial and specialist models in a BIM project should be geometrically coordinated in such a way that there are no relevant deviations in either position or height, even though the coordinate systems of the models differ. The following topics are not covered in this Technical Specification: Modeling or quality assurance for surveying services that are carried out in accordance with state or mining regulations for the purpose of land surveying, the real estate cadastre or mining, as well as construction surveying (staking out) and construction monitoring (monitoring).
