Partitions and wall linings with gypsum boards on metal framing - Part 1: Cladding with gypsum plasterboards
Abstract
This standard specifies requirements that meet the requirements of DIN 4103-1. This standard applies for partitions made of a) gypsum boards in accordance with DIN 18180 in conjunction with DIN EN 520, or b) gypsum boards with mat reinforcement in accordance with DIN EN 15283-1, provided that they comply with the minimum breaking load and the minimum modulus of elasticity analogous to DIN 18180:2014-09, table 2, with metal framing components in accordance with DIN 18182-1 in conjunction with DIN EN 14195, which are installed on the building site as non-loadbearing internal partitions. This standard also applies for freestanding backing partitions without intermediate support with metal framing components in accordance with DIN 18182-1 in conjunction with DIN EN 14195. For non-loadbearing inner partitions with wooden framing components DIN 4103-4 applies. For the assemblage of partitions and backing partitions DIN 18181 has to be considered. The partions' structural and building-physical properties are determined by the interaction between the gypsum board planking and the metal framing components and, where necessary, the cavity insulation.
