Abstract
DIN 4109-31 is the explanatory basis for DIN 4109-32, DIN 4109-33, DIN 4109-34, DIN 4109-35 and DIN 4109-36. The scope of the component catalogue (DIN 4109-31 to DIN 4109-36) requires the content to be divided into several parts of the standard. These are formulated in such a way that they can be applied independently of the other parts of this series of standards, taking this document into account. This makes it easier for the user to handle. In DIN 4109-32 to DIN 4109-36, clause 1 indicates that the present part of the standard must be applied in conjunction with DIN 4109-31.
