Energy efficiency of buildings - Calculation of final, useful and primary energy demand for heating, cooling, ventilation, domestic hot water and lighting - Part 14: Application of characteristic values from DIN V 18599 in the verification of the shares of renewable energies and waste heat required by the German Building Energy Act (Gebäudeenergiegesetz)

Abstract

This document describes the application of the characteristic values from DIN V 18599 for the special case of preparing verifications for the obligation to use renewable energies or unavoidable waste heat in new heating systems anchored in the Building Energy Act (GEG 2024). The procedure for calculating the key figures to be verified is explained as a rule, but the law with all its regulations and exceptions is not reproduced. In addition, the possibility of presenting the results using a form for flat-rate fulfillment options and for calculating the coverage share on the basis of DIN V 18599 is described. There is no description of transitional periods or solutions; these can be found in the GEG. Similarly, requirements resulting from these transitional solutions or periods are not the subject of this document.
