Ceiling linings and suspended ceilings with gypsum plasterboards - Part 1: Requirements for construction
Abstract
This standard applies to suspended ceilings (ceiling coverings, suspended ceilings, and self-supporting ceilings) with gypsum board cladding in accordance with DIN 18180 in conjunction with DIN EN 520, fiber-reinforced gypsum boards in accordance with DIN EN 15283-1, gypsum fiber boards in accordance with DIN EN 15283-2, and gypsum board products resulting from further processing within the scope of DIN EN 14190. The suspended ceilings may be installed inside buildings or in outdoor areas not directly exposed to the elements (e.g., under canopies, balconies, or cantilevered floors). The standard contains information on structural stability as well as requirements for the structural design of the load-bearing parts of the suspended ceilings and their fastening to sufficiently load-bearing structural elements.
