Overview
This part of IEC 60455 specifies methods of test to be used for testing resin based reactive compounds, their components and cured compounds used for electrical insulation. The document deals with requirements for reactive resin compounds and their components, and for reactive resin molding compounds. The standard differs from DIN EN 60455-2 (VDE 0355-2):2016-06 as follows: a) introduction of test methods in conjunction with IEC 60455-3-8; b) additional and updated test methods for resins. Typical areas of application for this document are reactive resin compounds for use as electrical insulation.
