Overview
The DIN 55655 series of standards specifies test methods for electrocoatings for vehicles and other general industrial applications, such chiller units, consumer products, radiators, aerospace, agriculture. This part of DIN 55655 specifies a method for determining the specific electrical wet film resistivity of an ETL coating. The electrical wet-film resistivity provides information about the deposition behaviour of electrodeposition coatings, i.e. about film thickness and changes in film thickness, throwing power and possibly also the deposition performance under defined conditions. This standard has been prepared by Working Committee NA 002-00-07 AA "Allgemeine Prüfverfahren für Beschichtungsstoffe und Beschichtungen" ("General test methods for coating materials and coatings") at DIN Standards Committee Coatings and Coating Materials (NAB).
