DIN Standards Committee Coatings and Coating Materials

Overview

This is one of a number of parts of ISO 11127 dealing with the sampling and testing of non-metallic blast-cleaning abrasives. The various types of non-metallic blast-cleaning abrasives and requirements on each are contained in the various parts of ISO 11127. The ISO 11126 and ISO 11127 standard series have been drafted as a coherent set of International Standards on non-metallic blast-cleaning abrasives. Information on all parts of both standard series is given in Annex A. This part of ISO 11127 specifies a method for the sampling of non-metallic blast-cleaning abrasives from consignments and for the subdivision of the sample into quantities suitable for undertaking the appropriate test methods specified in other parts of ISO 11127. The committee responsible for this European Standard EN ISO 11127-1 is CEN/TC 139 "Paints and varnishes" (secretariat: DIN, Germany). The underlying International Standard ISO 11127-1 has been prepared by ISO/TC 35/SC 12 "Preparation of steel substrates before application of paints and related products" (secretariat: BSI, United Kingdom). The responsible German standardization committee is Working Committee NA 002-00-11 AA "Strahlmittel" ("Blast-cleaning abrasives") of the Coatings and Coating Materials Standards Committee (NAB).
