Overview
This document has been prepared by Technical Committee CEN/TC 139 "Paints and varnishes", Working Group WG 10 "Leaching of substances from coatings", the secretariat of which is held by DIN (Germany). This document specifies a laboratory method to determine the leaching behaviour of substances to water from external coatings and renders protected with biocides to water over defined time intervals. The method is not applicable for the determination of leaching of substances from coatings under natural conditions.
