Intelligent transport systems - Guidelines for the standardisation of cycling infrastructure data
Abstract
The scope of the proposed work item will be: - The definition and categorisation of cycling infrastructure, as they exist today, - The study of existing specifications or (de jure or de facto) standards that have been analysed during the work including, but not limited to, GDF, INSPIRE, NeTEx, DATEX II, OpenStreetMap, National Schema developed in France, - The guidelines for future potential extensions to the existing standardisation items, if relevant to the exchange of data describing cycling infrastructure. This CEN/TR will not address: - Migration path between existing standards and potential extensions of relevant EN or CEN/TS, as it is part of the potential follow-up work of extending the EN or CEN/TS, - The data exchange protocols and mechanisms required to support a digital representation of cycling infrastructure, - The counting of cyclists and the analysis of their behaviour when using cycling infrastructure.
