Stationary source emissions - Manual and automatic determination of velocity and volume flow rate in ducts - Part 2: Automated measuring systems

Abstract

ISO 16911-2 describes specific requirements for flow monitoring of automatic measuring systems (AMS). It is partly derived from EN 14181, the general document on quality assurance for AMS, and is applicable in conjunction with this document. ISO 16911-2 specifies conditions and criteria for the selection, installation, commissioning, and calibration of AMS used to determine the volume flow in exhaust ducts. ISO 16911-2 is applicable through correlation with the manual reference methods described in ISO 16911-1. ISO 16911-2 was primarily developed for monitoring emissions from waste incineration plants and large combustion plants. From a technical point of view, it can be applied to other processes that require flow measurement with a defined and minimized uncertainty.
