DIN Standards Committee Railway
Suspended monorails for mining; winding-drum with suspension hook; dimensions and requirements
Abstract
This standard applies to rope drums with suspension brackets used in mining as rope storage for traction ropes on monorail suspension railways when the track length is changed. The suspension bracket is used to attach the rope drum to the traction trolley. It also enables the rope to be wound and unwound and the rope drum to be replaced. The rope drum can be equipped with a motor mounting flange that allows for mechanical operation (power operation). Rope drums are also used to transport ropes from the rope manufacturer to the company's rope warehouse or place of use. The rope capacity can be increased by adding side panels. Only right-hand ropes are used.
